Firstly it was my divine little nephews 3rd birthday. He lives with his parents in Tassie which means we don't get to hang out as much as I would like to, so spending his birthday with him was a real gift! He is a sparky, spunky and special guy who enjoys his hot choccy, his Wiggles car rides and his Transformers! It was incredibly sweet to have that exchange of energy with a little person who you recognise so well - the blood connection being tactile and felt deep within your body. My boys love him too, and it's amazing - despite not having seen him since this time last year, they were completely comfortable playing tip with him, keeping an eye on him in the toy aisle of K mart (!!!!) and dancing to the sounds of motorcycles in said aisle!
Such a treasure!
And then...it was Big Gav's turn! Yes my gorgeous husband turned 39! He just gets better and better each year...birthday suck up - check!
He and the boys had a day out together bike shopping. I was not feeling tops so stayed home and cooked a roast. Cake for brekkie, croissants for brunch, roast for dinner....birthdays are delicious!
As are nephews and husbands!
